Dismayado si Albay Representative Joey Salceda sa inilabas na bagong tourism campaign slogan and logo ng Department of Touirism (DOT).
Sa kaniyang Facebook post, binatikos ni Salceda ang DOT dahil umano sa hindi nito pagsama sa bulkang Mayon na isa sa mga tanyag na tourist attractions sa bansa.
“Sino po ang may pakana nito? No love for Albay, no love for Bicol. Thank you na lang. Albay tourism will thrive without you. Love Albay,” ani post ni Salceda
Dagdag pa nya, maging ang isang larawan lang ng Mayon ay malaking bagay na para sa mga residente ng Albay na umaasa sa turismo bilang kanilang pangunahing kabuhayan.
“Mayon deserves better than a pixel in the logo where you need strained eyes to see it,” ayon pa kay Salceda.
Sagot naman ni DOT Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, ang inilabas na video campaign ay simula pa lamang. “I assure Congressman Salceda that efforts are ongoing to promote equally our destinations in the country,” ani Frasco.
