“As Mayor of Camalig, Albay, I understand the importance of the Pinangat Festival in celebrating our beloved town’s distinct and rich culture and heritage.” saad ni Camalig Mayor Caloy Baldo sa kanyang press release noong Hunyo 8 ng hapon .
“However, my main responsibility is to ensure the safety and welfare of my constituents, and after various discussions with our local councils and heads, I now firmly believe that postponing the Pinangat Festival (except religious activities) is the best and practical course of action under the current circumstances” dagdag pa niya.
“With the Province of Albay under a state of calamity, the funds intended for the 2023 Ibalong Festival will be used to ensure that the city government will have enough resources to cater to the need of our constituents should the worst possible scenario occur” ani ni Rosal.
