Umabot ang performing loans ratio (PLR) ng Pag-IBIG ng 92.53% nang dumoble ang paglaki ng housing loan payment collections nitong nakaraang limang buwan ng taon.
Sa press release na isina-publiko ng Pag-IBIG, batay sa kanila, dahil sa patuloy na paglaki ng PLR, umabot ng 15.2 porsyento o P31.97 bilyon mula Enero hanggang Mayo ang home loan payments. Kung ikukumpara ito sa nakaraang taon at parehas na mga buwan, malaki ang itinaas nito mula sa P27.75 bilyon noong 2022. Nagbigay-daan ito sa Pag-IBIG para makapagtala ng mas mataas na PLR sa pagtatapos ng Mayo na mayroong 184 basis points.
Batay kay Housing Secretary and Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees Jose Rizalino L. Acuzar, ito ay isang paraan upang mabigyan ng atensyon at pagtugon sa panawagan ni President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na masolusyunan ang problema ng bansa sa housing backlogs para sa nakaraang anim na taon. Ito ay sa ilalim ng Pambansang Pabahay sa mga Pilipino o 4PH Program.
“We are happy to report that our total collections for the first five months of the year already stand as the highest in our history. Strong collections not only reinforce Pag-IBIG Fund’s financial sustainability, but also benefits our members because the amount we collect are then ploughed back to our housing portfolio so that more members can avail of our home loans,” ani ni Acuzar.
Gayunpaman, ayon kay Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene Acosta, nagpapasalamat siya sa kasalukuyang miyembro ng Pag-IBIG, dahil sa kanilang tamang oras na pagbabayad sa kanilang mga loans, ipinapahayag lang na mataas ang tiwala sa kanila ng mga miyembro. Nilinaw din ni Acosta na ang mga ito ay parte ng kanilang pangako sa Lingkod Pag-IBIG na magbigay ng makakaya at mabilis na access sa house loans para sa masang Pilipino.
