Umaksyon ang Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) laban sa isang offshore gaming service provider sa Las Piñas City na sangkot umano sa mga kriminal na aktibidad.
Sa isang Show Cause Order ay humingi ng paliwanag ang PAGCOR sa Xinchuang Network Technology, Inc. ukol sa mga paratang na kinakaharap ng kumpanya at bakit hindi dapat kanselahin ang kanilang operasyon.
Kaugnay nito, ipinag-utos din ng PAGCOR ang pagtigil ng lahat ng offshore gaming activities habang isinasagawa ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang imbestigasyon.
Noong Hunyo 26, 2023, halos isang buwan matapos manmanan ang kumpanya, ay sinalakay ng mga tauhan ng PNP-Anti Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) ang opisina ng offshore gaming service provider.
Nakalap ng mga awtoridad ang mga impormasyon at ebidensya na posibleng nauugnay sa human trafficking, cryptocurrency, love scams, at iba pang ilegal na aktibidad. Nasamsam din sa raid ang mga computer units, SIM cards, cellular phones, at passports na sasailalim sa forensic investigation
Na-rescue ang 1,534 Pilipino at mahigit 1,000 dayuhan mula China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, at Singapore.
Binigyang-diin ni PAGCOR Chairman at CEO Alejandro H. Tengco ang kanilang pagkondena laban sa mga ilegal na aktibidad na may kaugnayan sa offshore gaming.
