Nangako ang housing chief ng bansa na makakapagpatayo ng 100,000 units ng bahay hanggang sa 2024.
Ito ang deklarasyon ni Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Jerry Acuzar araw ng Lunes (July 3) sa pagbisita ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. sa isang housing program sa Pampanga.
Sinabi ni Acuzar na mas mapapabilis ang kanilang programa kung mga horizontal row houses ang kanilang gagawin.
“Hindi ganoon kabilis gumawa ng projects. Gagawa ng plano, kukuha ng lupa. Hindi kagaya ng horizontal, hindi puwedeng madaliin baka madaya yung construction. Dapat matibay,” ani Acuzar.
Sa ngayon ay mayroon nang 20 housing projects ang gobyerno na target paabuti ng 50 projects sa loob ng isang taon.
Isa sa mga ito ay binisita ni Marcos ngayong Lunes, ang Crystal Peak Estates na isang 9.8-hectare housing development na pinatatayo ng Social Housing Finance Corporation sa San Fernando City, Pampanga.”Maliban sa pabahay, hangad ng programang ito na mabigyan ng isang matiwasay na komunidad ang mga maninirahan. Bukod pa riyan, siniguro din natin na ang residential units ay malapit sa mga eskwelahan, sa mga ospital, pamilihan, at iba pang mga recreational facilities,” ani Marcos.
