Isang bagong medical specialty hospital ang nakatakdang simulant na ipatayo ngayong taon na magbibigay serbisyo sa mga residente ng Central at Northern Luzon.
Sa isang press briefing, sinabi ni Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Dr. Teodoro Herbosa na sisimulan na ang konstruksyon ng Clark Multi-Specialty Hospital na base sa Executive Order 19 ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.
Magkakaroon ng groundbreaking ang Philippine Heart Center sa Clark Freeport Zone ngayong July 17.
Magsisimula muna ang ospital bilang isang general hospital.
“It will move up to a children’s hospital, and then a cardiac specialty, then the kidney specialty,” ani Herbosa.
Dagdag pa ni Herbosa, ang nasabing project ay kapareho ng mga public specialty hospitals na matatagpuan sa Quezon City.
“It will just be like what we have in the North Triangle of Quezon City, wherein you have all the different specialties, and (this time) it will be in that corridor in Clark. That will cover Central and Northern Luzon cases of heart, lung, kidney, and even cancer,” ayon kay Herbosa.
Ibinunyag din ni Herbosa na napakanibangan na ang pondong nakuha buhat sa Sin Tax Law, gaya nang pagpapatayo ng Northern Mindanao Medical Center Heart, Lung, and Kidney Center, at ang Southern Philippines Medical Center sa Davao City.“Many of these places that have been built through the sin tax money have now eye centers, dermatology centers, cancer centers but it’s not getting the news. But the services are now available to people outside Metro Manila,” ani Herbosa.
