Pinag-eeksplika ng Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) ang National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) kung bakit hindi pa nito nakukumpleto ang 37 electrification at power transmission projects sa buong Pilipinas.
Sa naging kautusan nito, binibigyan ng ERC ang NGCP ng 15 araw para ipaliwanag kung bakit hindi ito dapat patawan ng administrative penalty dahil sa mga nasaging pagka-antala ng mga proyekto.
Una nang idinepensa naman ng NGCP na ang COVID-19 pandemic ang siyang dahilan ng mga naturang delays kasama na ang issue ng right of way.
The NGCP in May said it was not to be blamed for delays in its projects, some of which were stalled by COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and right-of-way issues. Nais naman ng ilang mga senador na ibalik ng NGCP ang P2.75 per kilowatt hour na siningil ng NGCP na para sa mga nasabing unfinished projects.
