Ayon kay Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) spokesman Rommel Lopez, sinimulan ng kanilang Bicol Regional Office ang forced evacuation matapos magkaroon ng verified reports na ilang mga pamilya ang ayaw umalis sa Barangay Anoling, isa sa mga itinuturing na geographically isolated areas sa bayan ng Camalig sa Albay.
Ang agarang evacuation ay isinagawa ng Camalig Municipal Station, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office at ang Municipal Disaster Response and Management Office.
“The 50 families from Barangay Anoling will be given temporary shelter at the Baligang Elementary School. Validation is still ongoing to account for the exact number of families,” ani DSWD regional director Norman Laurio sa kaniyang report sa Disaster Response and Management Group ng DSWD.
