Vigan City – On January 23, 2024, the residents of Ilocos Sur benefited from the First Lady Marie Louise Araneta’s brainchild initiative, the LAB FOR ALL PROGRAM, which provided free laboratory services, medical consultations, and medicines. Spearheaded by the First Lady, this initiative aimed to improve healthcare accessibility in the province.
During the event, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Melquidades A. Robles, in collaboration with the First Lady, facilitated the distribution of 1,500 food packs and medicines valued at P100,000 to the Local Government Units (LGUs) in Ilocos Sur. In addition, a total of P658,766.33 in cash, derived from lotto shares, was allocated to Ilocos Sur LGUs to support various community initiatives.
The activity was graced by the presence of Ilocos Sur Governor Jeremias “Jerry” Singson and Vigan City Mayor Jose “Bonito” Singson, who expressed their gratitude for the support extended by the PCSO and the First Lady.
