An Overseas Filipino Worker in Middle East on vacation in the Philippines emerged as the sole winner of the P37,462,798.00 jackpot in the Superlotto 6/49 drawn last October 20, 2024. The winning combination—20, 32, 29, 31,
01, 22—proved to be a life-changing one, carrying deep personal significance to the family of the lucky winner.
The new winner revealed that these numbers were the combination his father had played for years. When his father became too ill to visit the lotto outlet, he continued playing for him.
When asked about his plans, he shared that he will first go back to his work abroad. “Masyado po mabait ang amo ko to the point na nahihirapan akong iwanan siya. Babalik po ako ng Middle East at doon na lang po ako mag-iisip kung ano gagawin ko sa aking napanalunan,” he said.
To claim lotto prizes, winners must sign the back of their winning ticket and present two valid government-issued IDs for verification. Additionally, a 20% tax applies to prizes over ₱10,000.00, as mandated by the TRAIN Law. Under RA 1169, winners have one (1) year from the draw date to claim their prize at the PCSO Main Office on Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.
