The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) successfully distributed a total of 2,000 Charitimba or food packs to residents of San Fabian in Pangasinan and Pugo in La Union as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
PCSO Board of Directors member Janet de Leon-Mercado and San Fabian Mayor Marlyn Agbayani personally spearheaded the distribution of 1,000 ChariTimba to San Fabian residents on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024 another 1,000 Charitimba were distributed to senior citizens in Pugo, La Union. Director Mercado, joined by PCSO La Union Branch Head Lalaine Martos and Pugo Mayor Kurt Walter Martin, led the activity during the town’s Tinungbo Festival and the celebration of its 113th founding anniversary.
The beneficiaries commended the efforts of the PCSO and their local government leaders for the assistance extended to them, especially this Christmas season.
Through its CSR program, the PCSO underscores the importance of collaboration with local governments to address the needs of underserved sectors.
As Director Mercado emphasized, “Bahagi ng programa ng Tanggapan ng Pangulo na tumugon sa pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan sa bawat sulok ng bansa.”
