A former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), who has been playing the lotto for 30 years, won P13,131,506.60 in the Lotto 6/42 drawn last Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, with the winning combination 10-22-31-28-11-14. He purchased the winning ticket in one of the Lotto outlets in Biliran, Visayas.
The lucky winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, revealed that the winning numbers were significant dates – the birthdays of his siblings and his wife. He plans to use the monetary prize to finance his existing business and eventually expand with the opening of a new store. The winner, accompanied by his wife, claimed his prize at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.
Claiming the prize requires the winner to present their original, signed ticket and two valid government-issued IDs.
As per the TRAIN Law, a 20% tax is deducted from prizes exceeding ₱10,000. Winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prizes. Unclaimed winnings will be forfeited and added to the PCSO Charity Fund, supporting various charitable programs.
Lotto 6/42 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 9:00 PM and is broadcast live on IBC TV 13 and the PCSO Games Online Hub Facebook page.
