Batangas, Philippines – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) successfully distributed a total of 2,000 Charitimba (food buckets) on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, benefitting residents of Rosario and Taysan in
Batangas province.
Led by PCSO Chairman Judge (Ret.) Felix Reyes, the Agency provided 1,000 Charitimba to residents of Rosario and another 1,000 to residents of Taysan. The distribution, which forms part of the PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, was conducted in close collaboration with the local governments of Rosario, led by Mayor Leovy Morpe, and Taysan, headed by Mayor Edilberto Abaday, along with members of their respective Sangguniang
Bayan.
In addition to the Charitimba distribution, the PCSO also awarded educational grants to 40 college students from the two municipalities. These grants aim to alleviate financial burdens on families and help deserving students pursue higher education to contribute to the development of future leaders and professionals.
The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the PCSO and their local officials for their assistance. The program’s success underscores the importance of collaboration between national agencies and local government units in addressing the needs of communities.
