The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) turned over a Patient Transport Vehicle (PTV) to the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) on March 20, Thursday.
The donation is part of PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco’s Php300 million financial assistance pledge to the PNPA which he made during the academy’s 45th Alumni Homecoming at Camp Gen. Mariano Castañeda in Silang, Cavite last week.
Chairman Tengco handed over the PTV to Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) Executive Director Undersecretary Gilbert Cruz who is also the Chairman of the PNPA Alumni Association Inc. (PNPAAAI).
The PTV is equipped with a GPS navigation system, an ambulance stretcher, medical oxygen, a wheelchair, and a first aid kit to provide immediate care during patient transport to the hospital.
“This donation underscores PAGCOR’s dedication to support the law enforcement community by improving facilities that help combat crime and ensure the well-being of personnel and cadets,” Mr. Tengco remarked.
Col. Marcial L. Fa-ed, chief of the Logistics Management Division at PNPA, said the PTV donated by PAGCOR will be assigned to the PNPA Dispensary.
“Kailangan natin ito para sa mga kadeteng iri-refer sa labas ng PNPA,” he said. “Maraming salamat kay PAGCOR Chairman Tengco at sa buong PAGCOR management dahil malaking tulong po itong PTV sa amin.”
