Natapos na ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang masinsinang “Management Review” sa mga polisiya at structural composition ng kagawaran laban sa korapsyon at irregularidad.

Sa eksklusibong panayam ng BITAG Media Digital (BMD) kay Atty. Mike Poa, spokesperson ng DepEd, kinumpirma nito na inaayos na ang isasagawang re-organisasyon sa loob ng kagawaran.

“A management Review was recently conducted to identify the functions and gaps (if any) of the various strands and divisions operating within the Department. The objective is to streamline DepEd processes for better delivery of services.”

Samantala, inatasan ni Vice President at DepEd Secretary Sara Duterte si Education Undersecretary Gerard Chan na pamunuan ang bagong “strand” na tututok sa procurement ng kagawaran.

Katatapos lamang umano ang management review at napag-alaman na may mga problema sa procurement at nababalot ito ng iregularidad.

Pero ayon kay Poa, hindi pa nila isasapubliko ang istraktura ng reorganization dahil kailangan pa itong dumaan sa masusing pag-aaral.

“At the moment, we cannot identify specific changes yet pending the results of the said Management Review.”

“The recommendations brought about by the management review will have to go through approval processes,” ani Poa.

Ayon kay Poa, strikto si Duterte sa hangarin na magpatupad ng reporma, transparency at maayos na pamamahala sa Kagawaran ng Edukasyon.
