PASIG CITY – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) extended immediate assistance to families affected by a fire in Barangay Kapitolyo, Pasig City through the distribution of ChariTimba food packs on September 8, 2026.
The relief distribution was led by PCSO Directors Jennifer Liongson-Guevara, Janet De Leon Mercado, and Imelda Papin, in partnership with Brgy. Captain Alexis Rafael Torres and Brgy. Councilor Rodolfo “Bok” Sanguyo. The assistance was provided to families temporarily staying at an evacuation center after losing their homes and livelihoods in the fire.
Each food pack contained rice, canned goods, coffee, and other essential food items to help address the daily needs of the beneficiaries.
Also present during the activity was Pasig City Vice Mayor Robert “Dodot” Jaworski Jr., who expressed his support for the affected residents and joined the relief distribution efforts.
The initiative forms part of the PCSO Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program and is aligned with the agency’s mandate to provide assistance and support to communities affected by disasters and other emergencies.
