PCSO EXTENDS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO LITTLE SISTERS OF THE ABANDONED ELDERLY, INC.

MANDALUYONG CITY – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) provided financial assistance amounting to ₱1,485,000.00 to Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly, Inc. during a turnover ceremony held on September 7, 2026, at the PCSO Main Office along Shaw Boulevard.

During the event, PCSO General Manager Melquiades A. Robles underscored the importance of extending help with compassion and sincerity.

“There are no distinctions when it comes to helping others, and when you help, always do it out of love,” Robles said.

The beneficiary institution is a non-government organization (NGO) dedicated to caring for elderly individuals who are homeless, sick, indigent, or abandoned by their families. Through its programs and services, the organization provides care, support, and assistance to improve the well-being and quality of life of its residents.

The financial assistance was formally received by Sr. Adelina Cuellar and Sr. Monica Corpuz on behalf of Sr. Sandra da Silva, Mother Superior of the institution. The representatives expressed their gratitude to PCSO for its continuing support of organizations serving vulnerable sectors of society.

The grant will be utilized to fund the institution’s healthcare project, which aims to provide essential medicines and laboratory services to 75 underprivileged elderly residents under its care. The initiative seeks to address their healthcare needs and reduce financial barriers to accessing vital medical services.

The assistance was provided under PCSO’s Institutional Partnership Program (IPP), which supports qualified institutions and organizations that deliver meaningful social services to Filipinos in need. Through the program, PCSO continues to strengthen partnerships that promote health, welfare, and social development among underserved communities nationwide.
