For the whole month of March, Ben Tulfo’s public service program, #ipaBITAGmo together with his team of investigators has been actively pushing its limit to help and give assistance to those in need, especially those in clear danger and at risk.
Based on the investigation of BITAG, Pajares faithfully did his job as the security guard of the village, according to the victim, vehicles without stickers are not allowed to enter the said village.
During the program, Ben Tulfo also repeatedly asked Pajares about the identity of the man who assaulted him, with no sign of doubt to his answers Pajares positively identified the man as Kurt Matthew Teves.
“During that time na hinarang ko po sila… nagpakilala po siya na anak ni Congressman Teves” Pajares explained to Ben Tulfo.
Ben Tulfo even showed a photo of Kurt Matthew Teves to Pajares; the victim again said that it was the man who assaulted him.
Pajares told BITAG that he was forced to get down on his knees and was kicked and punched by Kurt Matthew Teves while being surrounded by several bodyguards.
In the spirit of public service and an effort for equal opportunity, the program called the Cong. Arnie Teves, the father of Kurt Matthew Teves.
Teves answered the call and said that the complainant should just go and file a legal case in court. Teves also said that he doesn’t understand why the incident needs to be “hype it up in the media” adding that this might be “POLITICALLY MOTIVATED”
“I don’t why they are trying to hype that in the media…I think it is politically motivated …trying to hit on me and my son. Kung anak ko talaga ang nakita nila kasuhan nila” Teves told BITAG.
Teves also reasoned that while he saw the viral video he had yet to examine it, but Ben Tulfo hastily reasoned out that as the father of the respondent it is his responsibility to take action on the incident.
Ben Tulfo also noted that the purpose of the call was to get his side of the story and bring the matter to his attention as the video went viral; he also added that BITAG is not a platform for a politically motivated agenda.
But instead, Teves was defensive and reasoned that what is happening to him and his son is “trial by publicity”.
Tulfo asked Teves if he would take accountability on the matter but Teves said that is not right to be judged by the program.
During the program, Ben Tulfo did not miss the opportunity to remind Cong. Teves that as a father it is only right to reprimand his son that is involved in this matter.
Kurt Matthew Teves is an elected official and serves as a barangay chairman at Malabugas, Bayawan, Negros Oriental.
Meanwhile, BITAG will assist Jomar Pajares in filling possible legal cases.
