President Ferdinand R. Marcos signed a proclamation declaring October 31 as a special non-working holiday, as announced by Office of the Press Secretary Officer-in-Charge Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil in a press briefing today.
The President made the declaration to boost local tourism and allow workers to have time for their families.
