Early last week, three employees of a computer service center sought the help of Pambansang Sumbungan: #ipaBITAGmo.
The three employees were accused of cases of Theft, Malicious Mischief and Unjust Vexation.
This happened after Rhodora “Pandoray” Alvarez accused them of allegedly stealing an abandoned laptop that was at the computer service center.
The program host and investigative journalist, Mr. Ben Tulfo subjected PCpl. Jonar Pardilla in a meticulous questioning after employees of a computer service center was detained after originally being ask to visit the police station for questioning.
“Sir, uulitin ko, binasahan niyo ba ng Miranda Rights yung hong inaresto?” Tulfo asked Pardilla.
PCpl. Pardilla, on the other hand, repeatedly denied explaining that he was the one who informed the employees that they will be arrested.
“Sir na inform naman sila, kasi sir arestado po sila,” said Pardilla, who was the assigned officer attended to the employees.
But according to Alyas Joy, one of the employees, they were not advised by the officers of Ermita Police Station that they will be arrested. They were also not informed of their rights during the process.
“Joy binasahan ka ba ng Miranda rights na parang ikaw ay inaaresto sa salang pagnanakaw?” Ben Tulfo asked during the program.
“Hindi po, wala po” Joy answered.
Angered on how the police investigators explained, the host challenged the Pardilla on Polygraph Test.
“If you keep on saying something like that, ilalalagay kita sa polygraph test. Do not lie to me. Magkaroon ka ng bayag bilang imbestigador na saibihin mo ang totoo, wag mo babaliktarin” Tulfo said.
Eventually the case filed against the employees was dismissed because of lack of evidence.
“Binasura ng judge. Anong say mo ngayon? Dahil may mali. Itong mga kaso na sinampa ninyo ito. Theft, malicious mischief, estafa, unjust vexation, dismissed. See? Lumakabas sir, tanga kayo. Pulis pa naman kayo” Tulfo said.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Police of Ermita Police Station promised to BITAG that he will immediately attend and investigate the process of investigation done by his police officer.
This is a developing story…
