Sari-saring patalim at matutulis na bagay ang nadiskubre sa loob ng Manila City Jail (MCJ) sa tulong ng mga sniffing dogs ng Coast Guard K9 Force ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
Ikinasa ng Philippine National Police (PN) ang “Operation Greyhound” sa Male Dormitory ng MCJ sa Sta. Cruz, Manila nitong Biyernes, Nob. 25, dahil sa ulat na girian ng mga gang sa kulungan.
Katuwang ng PNP sa paggalugad sa piitan ang K9 Force ng Coast Guard Field Operating Unit-National Capital Region (NCR), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-NCR, PNP-Special Weapons and Tactics (PNP-SWAT), at Bureau of Fire Protection National Capital Region (BFP-NCR).
Sa tulong ng mga K9 dogs, natunton ng operatiba ang mga nakatagong patalim, improvised na kutsilyo, mga lata, pako, ball pen, at ilang piraso ng paddle sa loob ng mga piitan.
Ayon sa PCG, laging bukas ang serbisyo ng kanilang Coast Guard K9 Force sakaling kailanganin ito ng iba’t ibang kulungan para mag-search ng mga armas at deadly weapons.
Bihasa rin umano ang mga K9 dogs ng PCG sa paghagilap ng mga bomba, baril, kahina-hinalang bagay at iba’t ibang klase ng iligal na droga tulad ng shabu, marijuana, cocaine, at mga iligal na party pills tulad ng ecstasy.
