Aabot sa 22.8 bilyong US dollar na investment pledge ang inaasahang ibubuhos sa ekonomiya ng Pilipinas kasunod ng tatlong araw na state visit ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa bansang China.
Sa paglibot ng Pangulo sa iba’t ibang sector pagkatapos ng face-to-face meeting nila ni Chinese President Xi Jinping, nakakuha ito ng investment pledge sa malalaking Chinese investors.
Pinakamalaking nakuha ng economic team ni Marcos ang investment pledge sa hanay ng renewable energy kung saan aabot sa 13.6 billion US dollars ang posibleng ibuhos na puhunan ng mga Chinese businessman sa Pilipinas.
Nangako rin ang mga investors na maglalagak ng USD 1.72 bilyon sa agribusiness at USD 7.32 billion para sa electric vehicle at mineral processing.
“We look forward to more Chinese investments in renewable energy pursuits such as in solar and wind, as well as in related sectors including battery energy storage systems and off-grid power supply systems,” wika ng Pangulo.
