Natimbog ang isang aktibong miyembro ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) at dalawa pa nitong kasama sa isinagawang buy bust operation nitong Enero 7, 2023.
Kinilalang ang mga nahuling suspek na sina CG Seaman First Class (SN1) Bernabe Delin Jr., 32-taong gulang, kasama ang dalawa pang suspek na sina Gilbert Johnston, 52 years old and Edgar Maghinay 32-year-old.
Ayon sa report ng ng Zamboanga City Police Station 7 – Sta. Maria, naaresto ang mga suspek sa Barangay Cabatangan, Zamboanga City.
Nakumpiska sa kanila ang limang sachet ng hinihinalang “shabu” na tinatayang nasa 1.71 grams at nagkakahalaga ng Php11,628.00.
Ang mga suspek ay nahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Samantala, sa pahayag ni PCG Commandant Admiral Artemio Abu, magsasagawa sila ng administrative investigation sa sangkot na tauhan at kapag napatunayan may sala ay agad umano itong tatanggalin sa serbisyo.
