Good news, mga pet lover at furparents! Simula Pebrero 1, pwede nang isakay ang inyong mga alagang hayop sa LRT 2 ayon sa pamunuan ng Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA).
Sa isang public briefing kahapon, Jan. 26, sinabi ni LRTA administrator Hernando Cabrera na papayagan na nila sa loob ng pasilidad ng tren ang aso at pusa sa ilalim ng ilang mga patakaran at kondisyon.
“Kailangan malinis… ‘yung usual na mga alituntunin, pinapatupad ng mga pet-friendly na establishment, ganoon din ‘yung policy namin na i-implement,” wika ni Cabrera.
“‘Yung policy na pinapaikot namin ngayon dapat naka-cage [ang alaga]. Kapag nakatali maaaring magkaroon tayo ng operational problem niyan sa loob ng tren o sa istasyon.”
Hindi naman hinikayat ni Cabrera ang publiko na madala ng mga malalaking alagang hayop sapagkat mahihirapan aniya ang mga itong pumasok sa loob ng tren dahil sa dami ng mga pasaherong sumasakay lalo na tuwing rush hour.
“Kapag malalaki na, mahihirapan naman nang ipasok sa tren. Siksikan kung minsan sa tren,” ani Cabrera.
Matatandaang una nang ipinatupad ng Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) ang naturang polisiya ukol sa pagdadala ng mga alagang hayop sa loob ng tren noong 2021.vv
