Tatlumpu’t limang ulat ng insidente ang mabilis na narespondehan ng kapulisan sa pamamagitan ng S.A.F.E. App Alert simula Enero 13, ayon sa National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO)
Sa numerong ito, pito ay nanggaling sa Northern Police District, 6 ay nagmula sa Eastern Police District, Manila Police District (2), Southern Police District (4), at Quezon City Police District (16). Habang siyam naman sa 35 ay maling tawag o hindi sinasadyang napindot.
Ang S.A.F.E. ay isang app na inilunsad ng NCRPO upang mas mabilis na matugunan ng kapulisan ang anumang uri ng insidente sa Kamaynilaan.
Ang S.A.F.E App ay konektado sa isang alert server na binabantayan ng Tactical Operation Centers (TOCs) ng NCRPO. Ang mga ulat ay ipinapadala sa pamamagitan ng short messaging system (SMS) at hindi na kinakailangan ng internet connection o mobile data upang magamit ito.
“Habang ang ating mga kaabayan ay tulog, ang kapulisan ng NCRPO ay laging gising upang siguraduhin ang kanilang kaligtasan,” ani NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Jonnel Estomo matapos ang matagumpay na implementasyon nito.
“Makakaasa ang ating mga kababayan sa patuloy na implementasyon ng App Alert na ito upang agarang matugunan at marespondihan ang kanilang pangangailangan,” dagdag ni Estomo.
Sa kasalukuyan, ang mga barangay sa buong Metro Manila pa lamang ang nakakagamit ng SAFE app. Ayon sa NCRPO, palalawigin nila ito sa mga eskwelahan, ospital at simbahan sa ikalawang bahagi ng kanilang proyekto.
