Mahigit P180 milyong halaga ng hinihinalang ilegal na droga ang nadiskubre sa loob ng isang abandonadong sasakyan sa Parañaque City kahapon, Pebrero 9.
Ayon sa Parañaque City Police, isang barangay tanod ng Barangay Tambo ang lumapit sa kanilang himpilan matapos nitong mapansin ang kahina-hinalang pulang Toyota Innova na iniwang sa kahabaan ng Quirino avenue alas dos ng madaling araw.
Nang inspeksyunin ang sasakyan, natagpuan ng mga awtoridad ang isang kulay brown na backpack kabilang ang isang kahon at sako sa passenger seat ng sasakyan.
Sa patuloy na pagsusuri ng pulisya, napag alaman na naglalaman ito ng dalawampu’t-pitong (27) vacuum-sealed tea pack ng hinihinalang shabu na aabot sa 27 kilo ang timbang at nagkakahalaga ng humigit kumulang P183,600,000.
Ang umano’y ilegal na droga ay itinurn-over sa Southern Police District Forensic Unit habang inaalaman pa ng mga awtoridad ang pagkakakilanlan ng suspek.
Samantala, binigyang pugay naman ni National Capital Region Police Office Chief, PMGen. Jonnel Estomo ang barangay at pulisya sa kanilang ginawang agarang aksyon.
“I commend the vigilance of our force multipliers working together with our police force in keeping our people safe and secured at all times,” wika ni Estomo.
“Considering the time of the report and the immediate action of our policemen indicates that they are very much awake white our people are fast asleep,” dagdag pa ng NCRPO Chief.
