Nagbukas ng mga bagong flights ang ilang mga airlines sa Clark International Airport bilang paghahanda sa nalalapit na Holy Week.
Inanunsyo ito ng Department of Tourism (DOT) kung saan labintatlo (13) flights (domestic at international) ang binuksan ng Cebu Pacific, samantala dalawang (2) flights naman ang bubuksan ng Philippine Airlines sa buwan ng Abril.
Ayon kay Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, makatutulong ang mga bagong ruta para mapalakas ang turismo at sektor ng negosyo sa bansa. Maliban dito maiibsan din ang nararanasang congestion sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at sa iba pang paliparan.
“After months of our continuous discussions with relevant aviation agencies and stakeholders such as the Department of Transportation, Cebu Pacific, and Philippine Airlines, we welcome these additional flights as it serves the Marcos administration’s efforts to vastly improve tourism connectivity and spread economic opportunity nationwide,” ani Frasco
