Naniniwala si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa alegasyon na si Negros Oriental 3rd District Representative Arnolfo Teves Jr. ang nasa likod ng pagpaslang kay Governor Roel Degamo.
Ang pahayag na ito ay sinabi ni Duterte Huwebes (Marso 23) sa Cagayan De Oro City kung saan tumanggap siya ng Distinguished Merit Award mula sa liga ng mga barangay ng siyudad.
Ayon kay Duterte, may kinalaman din sa ilegal na droga ang pagkamatay ni Degamo.
Sinabi ng dating pangulo na dapat sampahan ng pulisya si Teves kasunod ng pagkanta ng mga nahuling suspek na ang mambabatas ang nasa likod ng nangyaring pagpaslang.
“Once the case is filed, the Department of Justice should file a case for the cancellation of Teves passport,” wika ni Duterte.
“Teves is lucky. I am no longer in power. Otherwise, another extrajudicial killing would be an issue,” pagbibiro nito.
