Ipinapaayos ng Department of Justice ang proseso ng paglabas ng bansa o “departure formalities” sa mga paliparan upang maiwasan ang abala sa mga pasahero aalis ng bansa .
Sinabi ng DOJ na nakitaan nila ng pagmamalabis at hindi tamang asal ang mga immigration officer sa pagpapatupad ng departure formalities.
Ito’y matapos ang insidente kung saan isang pasahero ang naiwan ng eroplano matapos ang sumailalim sa matagal na pagtatanong ng isang immigration officer.
Nag-viral ito sa Tiktok matapos ikwento ang nasabing pasahero ang kanyang naging karanasan kung saan hinanapan din siya ng yearbook.
Naunang sinabi ng Bureau of Immigration na ang paghihigpit nila sa mga paalis na byahero ay dahil sa banta ng human trafficking at illegal recruitment.
Humingi na din ng paumanhin BI tungkol dito.
Ang Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) ng DOJ ang siyang mamamahala ng pagrerebisa ng “departure formalities”.
“Rest assured, the abusive behavior which goes beyond the mandate of the immigration officers will not be tolerated and will be strictly dealt with, We are in coordination with the BI and other stakeholders to minimize the inconvenience caused by the departure formalities to Filipino travelers.” Ayon sa pahayag ng IACAT.
