Isang 4-taong gulang na bata mula Abu Dhabi ang tinanghal ng Guinness World Records bilang world’s youngest author.
Kinilala si Saeed AlMheiri bilang pinakabatang may-akda matapos ang publication ng kanyang libro na pinamagatang “The Elephant Saeed and the Bear” na tungkol sa kagandahang-loob at hindi inaasahang pagkakaibigan ng dalawang hayop.
Ang nasabing libro ay nakabenta na ng 1,000 kopya.
“It is about the elephant Saeed and a polar bear. The elephant had a picnic and he saw a polar bear. He thought the bear was going to eat him but, in the end, the elephant showed kindness and said ‘Let’s have a picnic together’! Then they became friends and showed kindness to each other,” paliwanag ni Saeed.
Si Saeed ay natutong magsulat at bumuo ng sarili niyang kwento sa tulong at gabay ng kanyang ina at kapatid. Bukod sa pagsusulat, gumuguhit din siya para sa kanyang mga gawa.
“The drawing was tricky and the polar bear looked scary at first, but it’s always fun to draw,” wika ni Saeed sa isang panayam ng Guinness.
Bukod kay Saeed, may hawak ding Guinness World Record ang kanyang kapatid na babae na si AlDhabi matapos hirangin bilang “youngest person to publish a bilingual book” sa edad na 8 years at 239 days.
Sinabi ni Saeed na kasalukuyan siyang nagsusulat ng mga libro kasama ang kanyang kapatid na si AlDhabi buhat ng kanyang pagmamahal sa pagbabasa, pagsusulat at pagkukwento.
“It’s so exciting and I was really having fun on this one. I would love to have another record and I believe I can do it,” wika ni Saeed.
