Patay ang isang bombmaker na umanoy miymembro ng Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces matapos makipag barilan sa mga otoridad sa Shariff Saydona Mustapha town, Maguindanao del Sur nitong weekend.
Ayon sa isang interview nitong Lunes sinabi ni Lt. Col. Udgie Villan na na-identify nila ang napatay na si Datu Guibo, isang alleged bombmakerat tagahatid ng mga bomba.
Sa pinagsanib na pwersa ng 33IB at Provincial Police Mobile Force Company, sinabi ni Villan na maghahain sila ng warrant of arrest kay Guibo noong Sabado nang paputukan sila ng grupo ng suspek.
“As the troops were approaching Guibo’s safe house, his followers numbering about ten opened fire, triggering a brief firefight,” saad ni Brig. General Oriel Pangcog, Army’s 601st Infantry Brigade commander.
Napatay si Guibo habang nagmamadaling nakatakas ang mga kasamahan nito. Narekober ang isang pistol at anti-personnel mine.
Wala namang naiulat na nasawi sa panig ng gobyerno.
