Nawindang si Senator Raffy Tulfo sa kung paano ginastos ng National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) sa apat na taon.
Sa ginawang senate hearing ng Committee on Energy Miyerkules (May 24), natuklasan ni Tulfo na malaking bahagi ng kita ng NGCP ay napunta sa dibidendo ng mga stakeholders noong 2014, 2015, 2017 at 2019.
Sa P22.5 Billion na kita ng NGCP noong 2015, nasa P21 Billion o 93% ang napunta sa shareholders. 22 Billion ang kita ng NGCP noong 2014 ngunit 24 Billion ang ibinigay nito sa shareholders.
Noong 2017, P20.6 Billion ang kita ng NGCP, P19 Billion (92%) ang kinubra ng shareholders habang P15 Billion o 74% ng net income na P20.3 Billion ang nagging dibidendo.
“Sana all. This is what I am talking about. Eh mas Malaki po ang napupunta sa dibidendo kaysa sa development. Only in the Philippines,” ani Tulfo. Kamakailan ay iminungkahi ni Tulfo na bawiin ng gobyerno ang majority ownership ng NGCP nang malaman niya na 40% nito ay pagmamay-ari ng State Grid Corporation of China.
