Nais ng bagong Health Secretary Dr. Ted Herbosa na payagan ang mga unlicensed nurses na makapagtrabaho sa gobyerno.
Sa isang panayam sinabi ni Herbosa na payag siyang tanggapin ang mga ito kung makapagpakita sila ng diploma buhat sa mga accredited schools.
“I’ll make it eligible. If you have a diploma in an accredited school, recognized, I give you a period of time to pass it… You make them work for five years, I’m giving you five years to pass the board exam,” ani Herbosa.
Umaabot ng P30,000 hanggang P40,000 ang posibleng mga starting salary ng mga nasabing nurses.Aminado naman si Herbosa na kaniya pang kakausapin ang Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) kung maari nilang tanggapin ang mga unlicensed ngunit graduate nurses sa mga government hospitals.
