Sa ngayon ay umabot na sa one million ang bumisita sa Boracay ngayong first semester ng taon.
“We meet the one million mark and we are not expecting that much because the target was 1.8 million. If this will be the trend, we will exceed two million at the end of the year,” ani Mayor Frolibar Bautista.
Sa kanilang datos, nakapaglista ang Boracay ng 1,040,847 arrivals, 199,098 sa mga ito ay foreign visitors; 816,426 local tourists at 25,323 na overseas Filipino workers.
Kasamihan din sa mga foreigners ay mga Koreans, Chinese, Americans at ilang mga taga Europe.Sa ngayon ay walang dagdag pa health protocols ang ipinapatupad sa Boracay kung saan optional ang pagsusuot ng face mask.
