Ang hall of fame trainer at dating boksingero na si Coach Freddie Roach ay ikinasal na sa isang gym na kinatuwaan naman ng marami.
Nito lamang Hunyo 16 (California time) ay ikinasal na si Freddie Roach, edad 63, sa kanyang matagal nang kasintahan na si Marie Spivey na ginanap sa Wild Card Boxing gym sa Los Angeles, California. Agaw pansin ang suot ng coach dahil ito ay ang pang-araw-araw nitong kasuotan tuwing siya ay nasa gym.
“Made it official! Thank you to everyone!” sinulat ni Freddie sa kanyang Instagram post.
Kadugtong na nga ng coach ang gym kung saan niya sinanay ang ilan sa mga sikat na boksingero katulad ni four-time division champion na si Miguel Cotto, at si Filipino boxing sensation Manny Pacquiao.
Hindi pinalagpas ni Pacquiao na kaniyang pinaka-sikat na estudyante ang pagbati sa kanyang coach at kaibigan.
“Mazel Tov, Marie and @FreddieRoach on your wedding today. A lifetime of happiness to you both.” ani ni Pacquiao sa kanyang Twitter post. Nagsimula ang samahang Pacquiao-Roach nang maging coach siya ni Pacquaio noong 2001 para sa IBF Super Bantamweight title na nakamit naman laban sa title holder na si Lehlohonolo Ledwaba via technical knockout.
