Ang pag-angat ng kalidad ng edukasyon ang nangunguna sa prayoridad ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.
Ito ang tiniyak ni Department of Budget secretary Amenah Pangandaman nang harapin nito ang 888 new graduates ng Leyte Normal University (LNU) sa Tacloban City.
Ibinunyag ni Pangandaman na sa ilalim ng 2023 national budget, naglaan ang Marcos administration ng P909.1 billion sa education, culture, at manpower development sector, pinakamalaki sa lahat ng budget allocations.
“Specifically, the budget includes an allocation for basic education inputs, education assistance, and subsidies, universal access to quality tertiary education, and basic education facilities program,” ani Pangandaman.
Tiniyak ni Pangandaman na mananatiling malaki ang budget ng edukasyon upang mabigyan ang mga Pilipino ng mataas na kalidad pagdating sa learning tools at equipment.“Sisikapin po namin na patuloy na bigyan ng mataas na pagpapahalaga ang sektor ng edukasyon dahil naniniwala kami sa kakayahan at ambag ng kabataan sa pagpapaunlad ng Bayan. Kaya hindi po kami papayag na pagkaitan ang mga kabataan ng oportunidad para matuto at malinang ang kanilang mga kakayahan,” ani Pangandaman sa harap ng mga graduates ng College of Education, College of Arts and Sciences at College of Management and Entrepreneurship ng LNU.
