Nakahanda ang gobyerno na magbigay ng mga kinakailangang suporta sa National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) upang mas maraming matulungan at mailigtas na buhay mula sa sakit sa bato.
Ito ang ipinangako ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. nang dumalo siya sa pagdalo sa ika-40 na anibersaryo ng NKTI nitong Lunes.
“So we are committed to supporting NKTI in all these noble endeavors and together I am confident that we can rise to the challenge of fighting kidney and renal disease so that our people can leave better, live longer lives. Let us work to build a stronger and healthier future for this and for future Filipino generation,” ayon sa Pangulo.
Isa sa tinututukan ngayon ang abot-kayang dialysis treatment para sa mga may sakit upang mabigyan ng angkop na serbisyong pangkalusugan.
“With many deaths attributed to kidney disease in our country, it is imperative that we ensure that dialysis treatment will be readily available, accessible and cost effective for our fellow Filipinos. The ultimate goal is to lower the death and disabilities associated with kidney disease and kidney failure especially for those who are not able to access dialysis treatment due to the high cost,”dagdag ng Pangulo.
Pinasalamatan din ng pangulo ang ang mga doktor, nurses at personnel ng NKTI dahil sa kanilang hindi matatawarang serbisyo sa mga pasyenteng may kidney problem.
“I ask your institution to continue being catalyst to the universal healthcare by innovative solutions that decrease our country’s mortality rate in kidney diseases. Let me also take this time to convey my gratitude to our hardworking doctors, nurses and the personnel fo the NTKI for your dedication, your competence, your expertise in providing quality renal care and alleviating the suffering of Filipinos with kidney disease,” wika ng Pangulo.
