Bumaba ng 26.64 porsiyento ang kabuuang revenues ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) sa unang anim na buwan ng 2026 dahil sa paghina ng koleksyon mula sa gaming operations.
Mula Enero hanggang Hunyo, umabot sa Php43.32 bilyon ang pumasok na kita ng ahensya, mas mababa kumpara sa Php59.05 bilyon sa kaparehong panahon noong nakaraang taon.
Bumaba rin ng 27.11 porsiyento ang revenues mula sa gaming operations, na nananatiling pangunahing pinagkukunan ng kita ng PAGCOR, sa Php38.92 bilyon mula sa Php53.40 bilyon noong first half ng 2025.
Ayon kay PAGCOR Chairman at CEO Alejandro H. Tengco, malaking dahilan ng pagbaba ay ang paghina ng koleksyon mula sa electronic gaming segment.
Bumagsak ng 41.85 porsiyento ang revenues mula sa eGames, eBingo at bingo grantees sa Php18.60 bilyon mula Php32 bilyon noong first half ng 2025. Bumaba rin ang koleksyon mula sa licensed casinos at PAGCOR-operated casinos ng 3.85 porsiyento at 8.67 porsiyento.
“Our first-half revenue results reflect the continuing impact of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East which dampened consumer spending during the first quarter and affected overall industry performance,” ani G. Tengco. “While market conditions improved in the second quarter, uncertainties remain, particularly with the recent uptick in global fuel prices.”
“Nevertheless, we remain focused on strengthening industry performance through sound regulation and close collaboration with our stakeholders to ensure that the gaming sector continues to generate meaningful revenues for nation-building,” dagdag niya.
Bumaba rin ng 35.05 porsiyento ang net operating income ng PAGCOR sa Php31.75 bilyon, habang sumadsad ng 85.29 porsiyento ang net income sa Php1.58 bilyon.
“The steeper decline in net income was due to PAGCOR’s higher mandated remittances to the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) following the Supreme Court’s ruling requiring the state gaming agency to remit five percent of its gross income to the PSC, instead of the previously adopted computation,” paliwanag ni G. Tengco.
Sa unang kalahati ng taon, umabot sa Php2.01 bilyon ang na-remit ng PAGCOR sa PSC, mas mataas ng 58.68 porsiyento kumpara sa Php1.26 bilyon sa kaparehong panahon noong nakaraang taon.
Sa kabila ng pagbaba ng revenues, nakapag-ambag pa rin ang PAGCOR ng Php30.16 bilyon para sa nation-building sa unang anim na buwan ng 2026.
Kabilang dito ang 50 porsiyentong bahagi ng national government na Php18.49 bilyon, franchise tax na Php1.94 bilyon, pondo para sa socio-civic projects na Php7.36 bilyon, bahagi ng host cities na Php340.05 milyon, corporate income tax na Php9.87 milyon, at Php4.47 milyon para sa sports incentives at benepisyo ng mga atleta, coach at trainer sa ilalim ng Republic Act No. 10699.
