Have you seen the viral video of woman in rage in a public market in Dapitan, Zamboanga Del Norte?
The video showing a woman in her forties raging in anger in La Libertad Public Market was allegedly harassed a market vendor because of failure to provide a valid identification card.
The video was uploaded by Jenny Dy, a market vendor who originally sought the public service program of BITAG after she was allegedly shouted and humiliated in front of crowd inside the public market.
The video was uploaded last October 25 at Jenny’s Facebook account allowing the public to see.
During her interview with Mr. Ben Tulfo, she said that the woman randomly asked her for her vaccine card, after failing to provide one, the woman started screaming and that was the time Jenny took the said video.
The video immediately went viral with millions views, and was used by netizens in making hundreds of versions of parodies.
While most comments from netizens condemn the outraged woman in the video, BITAG found out that the woman in the video is a person with disability (PWD) diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder.
Mr. Ben Tulfo, during her interview with Jenny, found out that Jenny agreed with a settlement with the family of the woman.
“Pumunta po yung anak niya, babayaran an lang po yung mga na-damaged…P2,000.00 po tas yung P3,000 sa Decemeber daw” Jenny explained.
