The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) provided free medical and dental services, Charitimba, and Safety Preparedness Kits to residents of Mapandan, Pangasinan during a humanitarian outreach activity held on January 28, 2026, at the Tulagan Gym.
The activity was led by PCSO Director Janet Mercado, together with Director Imelda Papin and the PCSO Medical Services Department, in coordination with the Mapandan Rural Health Unit (RHU) and the local government unit headed by Mayor Karl Christian Vega.
A total of 201 patients benefited from various medical services, including general medical consultations, tooth extraction, electrocardiogram (ECG), as well as the distribution of free medicines and vitamins.
In addition, PCSO distributed 1,000 Charitimba to Mapandan residents, including health workers, traffic enforcers, religious leaders, and members of the Mapandan Gay Association (MAGAYA). The Office also turned over 300 Safety Preparedness Kits to the General Services Office (GSO) of the Municipality of Mapandan to further support local disaster readiness and response efforts.
The outreach program forms part of PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, reinforcing the agency’s continuing commitment to bring essential health services and assistance closer to communities, especially those in need.
Through programs such as this, PCSO remains steadfast in its mission of providing accessible and timely aid to Filipinos, in line with the goals of Bagong Pilipinas.
