The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced on Thursday, Dec. 1, that they have started the construction of a four-storey Manila Liaisons Office Complex of the Mindanao State University (MSU) in Mandaluyong City.
DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing reports from DPWH National Capital Region Director Loreta M. Malaluan, said the DPWH-NCR recently commenced the construction of the four-storey building, having received an allocation of P77 million.
Malaluan noted that the MSU Manila Liaisons Office Complex is a much-awaited facility that took six decades of planning.
The structure is a Mindanaoan and Muslim heritage-inspired design, specifically in the architectural and interior works, and its penthouse will highlight the rich and utmost culture of the region.
“Finally, we have officially commenced this MSU Manila Office that will be able to provide office spaces to all its 11 campuses, its officials, including the university’s Manila Liaison Information Office,” said Malaluan.
“This facility will provide accessibility to MSU employees and clients, including local and international partners, as they visit and learn more about the university,” he added.
Once completed, the complex is equipped with conference halls and multi-purpose rooms to accommodate MSU’s activities, meetings, and conferences.
