A total of 2,000 Charitimba assistance packages were distributed to residents of Tayabas City in Quezon province on January 28, 2026, as the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) continues to strengthen its social welfare initiatives across the country.
The distribution, was led by PCSO Chairman Ret. Judge Felix Reyes together with PCSO Quezon Branch Head Maricris Villapando, and was held at the New Tayabas City Hall. Beneficiaries consisted largely of senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs), underscoring PCSO’s commitment to assisting vulnerable sectors of society.
In addition to the relief assistance, 40 qualified college students also received educational assistance from the Office of Chairman Reyes. The support highlighted the agency’s recognition of education as a vital pillar in empowering Filipino families and securing the future of the youth.
Tayabas City Mayor Anthony Piwa Lim expressed his heartfelt gratitude to PCSO for the timely and meaningful assistance. He emphasized that the program has provided significant relief to Tayabasin residents, noting that with a population exceeding one hundred thousand, such initiatives play a crucial role in augmenting the city government’s efforts to address the needs of its constituents.
The activity was carried out under PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, which aims to reach communities nationwide and deliver immediate assistance to Filipinos in need, reaffirming the agency’s mandate of service, compassion, and inclusive support.
