NEW PCSO CAMARINES SUR BRANCH OFFICE INAUGURATED IN NAGA CITY

NAGA CITY – On September 17,2026, in a milestone event held alongside the celebration of the historic Peñafrancia Festival, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) formally inaugurated and blessed its new Camarines Sur Branch Office located in Barangay Bagumbayan, Naga City.

The ceremony was attended by members of the PCSO Board, led by General Manager Melquiades A. Robles and Chairperson Ret. Judge Felix P. Reyes, together with Directors Jennifer Liongson-Guevara, Janet De Leon Mercado, and Imelda Papin. The program was hosted by Branch Manager Rolly Fernandez.

The new PCSO Camarines Sur Branch Office serves as a vital operational hub in the Bicol Region, supporting the agency’s mandate under Republic Act No. 1169 to generate funds through its gaming operations and channel these resources into medical assistance, charitable programs, and various social welfare services.

The office has a long history of service in the region. Originally operating as part of the PCSO Regional Office in Bicol, it became a Provincial District Office in 1997 and was later reorganized into a Branch Office in 2012 to bring PCSO services closer to local communities, hospitals, local government units, and beneficiaries.

After years of planning and preparation, construction of the new two-story building commenced in June 2024. The newly completed facility now provides a safe, modern, and suitable workspace for the implementation of PCSO programs and services. It stands as a symbol of perseverance, institutional support, and the agency’s unwavering commitment to delivering meaningful public service to the people of Camarines Sur.

As part of the occasion, the PCSO also distributed wheelchairs to 35 municipalities and one city across the province of Camarines Sur. The donation aims to further strengthen local healthcare initiatives and provide assistance to individuals with mobility challenges and other beneficiaries in need.

In his message, General Manager Robles emphasized that the new branch office represents more than just a physical structure. It embodies the agency’s mission of bringing government services closer to the people and enhancing access to medical and charitable assistance.

The inauguration of the PCSO Camarines Sur Branch Office marks another significant step in the agency’s efforts to expand its reach and improve service delivery in the Bicol Region.

More than a building, the new office stands as a symbol of hope, compassion, and public service, reflecting PCSO’s continuing commitment to making healthcare and charitable assistance more accessible to every Filipino.
