Umabot sa Php93.36 bilyon ang kinita ng mga integrated resort casino sa bansa sa unang anim na buwan ng 2025, na inaasahang lalo pang magpapasigla sa tourism at gaming sectors, ayon sa Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
Sa kanyang welcome address sa Philippine Hotel Connect 2025 nitong Huwebes, Hulyo 24, inanusyo ni PAGCOR Chairman at CEO Alejandro H. Tengco na ang nasabing kita ng mga integrated resort casino mula Enero hanggang Hunyo ay halos kalahati ng kabuuang Php215 bilyon na gross gaming revenues (GGR) ng buong gaming industry.
“Of the Php93.36 billion generated by the integrated resort casinos, Php16 billion was paid to PAGCOR as license fees, ensuring funding for government social services and driving the country’s economic growth,” pahayag ni G. Tengco.
Bukod sa kita para sa gobyerno, sinabi rin niya na malaki ang naitutulong ng mga integrated resort casino sa pagpapataas ng reputasyon ng Pilipinas bilang patok na destinasyong panturismo.
“We have seen time and again how a thriving hospitality sector can drive employment, fuel trade, revive local enterprises, and bridge communities,” ani Tengco. “And nowhere is this more evident than in the huge tourism contributions from our licensed integrated resort casinos within and outside Metro Manila.”
Maliban sa buwis at bayad sa lisensiya, tumutulong din ang mga integrated resort casino sa pagpopondo ng mga pangunahing ahensya ng gobyerno gaya ng sa kalusugan, edukasyon, at militar, sa pamamagitan ng kanilang cultural foundations.
“Their contributions are concrete examples of how tourism, hospitality, and gaming—when aligned and responsibly managed—become a catalyst for national resilience and progress,” dagdag pa niya.
Gayunman, kasabay ng patuloy na paglago ng industriya, binigyang-diin ng opisyal ang kahalagahan ng mahigpit na regulasyon at pagsusulong ng responsableng pagsusugal upang mapanatili ang maayos at ligtas na operasyon sa sektor.
Kabilang sa mga hakbang ng ahensya ang pagbabawal ng mga patalastas ng sugal sa mga lugar na dinarayo ng mga menor de edad, pati na rin ang kasunduang nilagdaan kasama ang Ad Standards Council para sa mas istriktong patakaran sa gaming ads.
“As the gaming industry expands, so must our safeguards,” aniya. “Hence, we have taken a firm stance against the proliferation of illegal and unregulated gaming operations that offer no safety nets or protection to players and, more importantly, no remittance or any form of revenue to the government.”
Nanawagan namab si G. Tengco ng tuloy-tuloy na pagtutulungan ng gobyerno at pribadong sektor upang mapanatili ang sigla ng turismo at tiyakin ang pangmatagalang paglago ng ekonomiya.

Ang Philippine Hotel Connect 2025 ay inorganisa ng Philippine Hotel Owners Association, kung saan nagsama-sama ang mga lider sa sektor ng turismo at hospitality upang talakayin ang mga pandaigdigang trend, oportunidad, at mga isyung kinahaharap ng industriya.
