Binigyang diin ni Pangulo Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang kahalagahan ng maganda at matibay na relasyon ng Pilipinas at Japan.
Sa kanyang pagdalo sa National Day of Japan nitong Miyerkules sa Shangri-La the Fort Hotel, Taguig City sinabi ng pangulo na itinuring niyang kaibigan at “strategic partner” ang bansang Japan.
“Over the years Japan has been a friend, a neighbor, a strategic partner, Japan has been one of our steadfast partners in efforts to realize the Philippines transformative agenda in infrastructure, in social inclusion, in defense to name a few,” ayon sa talumpati ni Marcos.
Kasabay ng selebrasyon, binati din ng Presidente si Japan Emperor Naruhito sa ika-63 na kaarawan nito.
“I wish abundant happiness and blessings to His Majesty The Emperor as he leads Japan to continued prosperity and the promotion of peace.”
Nagkaroon ng pagkakataon si Pangulong Marcos Jr. at First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos makaharap sina Emperor Naruhito at Empress Masako noong magkaroon ng official visit kamakailan ang pangulo sa Japan.
