Los Angeles Lakers superstar Lebron James will be sidelined for at least two weeks as he will be reevaluated to see how his right foot injury has progressed.
It is not yet determined when James will return, but the Lakers’ standing in a couple of weeks could be a deciding factor, according to ESPN.
James sustained the injury when he twisted his right foot in the third quarter of a Sunday game against Dallas Mavericks, in which the Lakers rallied from a 27-point deficit to pull off a 111-108 come-from-behind win.
James played through the injury and was able to finish the game but was in pronounced pain afterward.
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday took advantage of James’ absence to pull off a 121-109 win against the shorthanded Lakers.
With their recent loss, the Lakers dropped to 29-33 and 12th in the standings in the Western Conference.
