LTO RAMPS UP “LTO ON WHEELS” TO BRING ITS SERVICES CLOSER TO THE PUBLIC

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) continues to step up its “LTO on Wheels” project as part of its commitment to bring government services closer to the public.

The “LTO On Wheels” makes its stop at Camp Karingal in Quezon City, the headquarters of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).

LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Teofilo Guadiz III and other LTO officials will visit the “LTO on Wheels” to observe and determine if there is a need for further improvements to provide better services to the public.

Launched in May 2019, the goal of this mobile agency and one-stop shop is to enable the LTO to reach as many clients as possible and provide them with more convenience and in the process, reduce the number of people transacting at the LTO’s Central, Regional and District offices.

The “LTO on Wheels” One-Stop-Shop concept can serve around 400 car registrants per day and provide services such as motor vehicle registration renewal, issuance of student permit, renewal of driver’s license, plain renewal without penalty, renewal of professional/non-professional driver’s license and conversion of paper license to card.

Since the start of its operation, the LTO was already able to serve and extend assistance to various government offices and agencies. The “LTO on Wheels” was also able to serve various subdivisions and villages.
