Filipino mixed martial arts (MMA) fanatics will witness a historic truce of the country’s finest warriors as ONE Championships returns to the Philippines after three years.
The Singaporean combat sports promotion will showcase two shows in one day with both ONE FIGHT NIGHT 5 and ONE 164 set to kick off on December 3, Saturday at the SM MOA Arena in Pasay City.
Team Lakay’s Joshua Pacio will showcase at the main event of the ONE 164 to defend his strawweight title against American fighter, Jared brooks.
Other Filipino athletes fighting along with him in the main card of the morning show are Brandon Vera, Gege Eustaquio, and Jeremy Pacatiw.
Meanwhile, Pinoy MMA veteran Eduard “Landslide” Folayang and Denice Zamboanga will be fighting in the lead card event of ONE FIGHT NIGHT 5 in the evening.
Folayang will stand face-to-face against Brazil’s Edson Margues in a lightweight contest while Zamboanga will battle in a women’s atom weight match against China’s Lin Heqin.
ONE FIGHT NIGHT 5 will be headlined by a battle of two undefeated martial artists. Two-time division King Reiner De Ridder will defend his One Light Heavyweight World Title against One Interim Heavyweight World Champion Antoly “Sladkiy” Malykhin.
