PADYAK DRIVER WHO DREAMED OF LOTTO NUMBERS AFTER PRAYING TO ST. CHARBEL WINS ₱31.9-M JACKPOT

MANDALUYONG CITY — A prayer, a dream, and nearly three decades of faithfully playing Lotto culminated in a life-changing win for a 51-year-old pedicab driver who claimed the ₱31,911,511.47 Lotto 6/42 jackpot at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Main Office on August 25, 2026.

The longtime bettor won the jackpot from the August 13, 2026 draw after correctly matching the winning combination 20–21–14–41–06–12.

According to the winner, he had been praying to St. Charbel when he later dreamt of the numbers that he decided to play in the Lotto. Those numbers eventually became the winning combination that ended his 25 to 30-year wait for a jackpot.

After years of earning a living as a padyak driver and patiently trying his luck, the winner now plans to use his newfound fortune to provide greater security for his family. He said his priority is to pay for their house, while setting aside portions of his winnings for investment and for the future of his children.

For the longtime bettor, the multimillion-peso prize marks a remarkable turn in a journey built on perseverance, hope, and faith, transforming numbers once seen in a dream into a winning combination worth more than ₱31 million.

The PCSO reminds the public that Lotto prizes above ₱10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax pursuant to the TRAIN Law. Proceeds from PCSO gaming products help fund the agency’s medical assistance, charitable programs, and other services for Filipinos nationwide
