PCSO DONATES ₱25.1-MILLION WORTH OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO NAGA CITY GENERAL HOSPITAL

NAGA CITY – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), led by General Manager Melquiades A. Robles and Chairperson Felix P. Reyes, formally turned over ₱25.1 million worth of modern medical equipment to the Naga City General Hospital during a turnover ceremony on September 17, 2026.

Also present during the event were PCSO Directors Jennifer Liongson-Guevara, Janet De Leon Mercado, and Imelda Papin, who joined the agency’s leadership in demonstrating its continued commitment to strengthening public healthcare services.

Under the Medical Equipment Donation Program (MEDP), the PCSO donated a range of diagnostic equipment, including a digital stationary X-ray machine, an ultrasound machine, and a 2D echocardiogram machine. These advanced medical devices are expected to enhance the hospital’s capability to deliver faster, more accurate, and more reliable diagnostic services to patients.

As part of the ceremony, General Manager Robles and Naga City Mayor Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo signed the Deed of Donation on behalf of their respective institutions. The signing underscored the partnership between the PCSO, the City Government of Naga, and Naga City General Hospital in improving healthcare delivery and promoting better health outcomes for the community.

Robles highlighted the importance of access to quality diagnostic services, emphasizing their role in patient care and recovery.

“Access to reliable diagnostic services can make a critical difference in a patient’s treatment and recovery. Through this donation, PCSO is helping Naga City General Hospital provide faster and more accurate diagnoses while making essential medical services more accessible to patients and their families dahil sinisigurado natin na walang maiiwang Pilipino sa larangan ng kalusugan. Sa bawat taya, may kawanggawa,” Robles said.

PCSO’s MEDP continues to support government healthcare institutions nationwide by providing essential medical equipment and helping improve the quality of healthcare services available to Filipinos.

Through initiatives such as the MEDP, the PCSO reaffirms its commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility and strengthening the capabilities of public hospitals across the country.
